Trying to come back

I hate the days when, no matter how hard I try, I disappoint people.  Tomorrow is going to be one of those days.  I’ve decided whom to disappoint, and she won’t even know it because she wasn’t expecting me to do what I was planning to do.  But she would have been so pleased if I’d shown up.  It’s hard to let go of that.  When my children were younger, this feeling was more common; I should be glad that sometimes my roles  fit together without too much stress.  This week I’ve been sick, and it’s only beginning to dawn on me how far behind I am.

With all that said, I have no business watching a TED talk.  But I found a link to an awesome one in Jason Ramsden’s newsletter.  I’ve got to share it before I forget.  This talk is from TEDx Philly, and it’s by the principal of the Science Leadership Academy, Chris Lehman.  I won’t comment on it for now, but just embed it here:

I really like Chris and have followed him since 2006 when DA sent me and 2 other people to SLA to observe what they did.

Wow. I’d love to see that school in action. I’d also love to hear about your visit there.
